【Very Good】
This is the official bottle for Jacquione, a 1960s distillation with 1970s bottling, Clynelish 12 Year Old High Proof.
Clynelish for Jacquione has both this bicolor label and white label, both of which are considered legendary bottles.
Despite having passed 40 years since bottling, there is almost no sense of age, and the aroma and flavor were very lively and vibrant, which was very impressive.
There are concentrated fruits like apricot and orange, and the rich barley notes were very full-bodied, seeping into the tongue.
Usually, textures that seep into the tongue often come with a slightly dried nuance, but this bottle has such texture without drying out.
Additionally, the sticky viscosity we often associate with Clynelish wasn't particularly strong.
Although it's still lively today, it's likely that the bottling in 1980s had a significantly different impression from today, making us very curious about what the aroma and flavor were like back then.
