Clynelish CLYNELISH 12yo OB bicolor label for WHISKYTECA EDWARD & EDWARD 56.9% 1970s bottling
Bottle #クライヌリッシュ(CLYNELISH)
Well matured and quite delicious. Clynelish CLYNELISH 12yo OB bicolor label for WHISKYTECA EDWARD & EDWARD 56.9% 1970s bottling The aroma carries a mysterious old-world character, both refined and robust, with notes of apricot jam, black tea, subtle beeswax, oil, and a faint earthiness reminiscent of leaf mold. On the palate, it begins with a smooth texture that unfolds into a rich, malty sweetness reminiscent of apricot jam and marmalade. The finish is long and alluring, with a gentle oak presence, earthy undertones, and a lingering whisper of old peat. 【Very Good/Excellent】 This is a 1970s bottling of Clynelish 12 Year Old, bottled for WHISKYTECA by Edward Jaccone. It is an official bottling with a bicolor label. Though often described as legendary, this bottle never quite struck me as extraordinary until now. This particular bottling stood out among others I've tried, offering a well-rounded impression in the bottle. It combines its inherent excellent maltiness with a characteristic waxy texture and an alluring, seductive finish. Despite its immense potential and bold character that doesn't cater to my preferences, this bottle revealed a subtle vulnerability that left me impressed. I received this bottle as a gift for the 10th anniversary of Zenith in Ginza.
