New Release: Edradour 15 Year Old Official Fairy Flag

Edradour 15 Year Old OB 'The Fairy Flag' 46%
Bottle #エドラダワー(EDRADOUR)
As expected, Edradour delivers a consistent and characteristic flavor. Edradour 15 Year Old OB 'The Fairy Flag' 46% The aroma features good sherry, plum jam, milk chocolate, grape skin, mint, and a strong, unique creaminess reminiscent of coffee fresh, with warmth and richness. The mouthfeel is smooth and viscous, with a concentrated sweetness of plums and jams, balanced by moderate woodiness and tannins. It also has a slight herbal grassy bitterness, with a creamy, milky texture that is slightly spicy. The finish is sweet and long-lasting. [Good/Very Good] Recently released, the official bottle named 'The Fairy Flag' from Edradour is aged for 15 years. The nuances of sherry casks envelop the entire profile, with a strong sense of jammy fruits, grape skins, milk chocolate, and a creamy nuance reminiscent of Edradour's signature coffee fresh. Upon drinking, the mouthfeel is soft and viscous, with a rich sweetness that isn't overly heavy, balanced by the tannic bitterness of grape skins. The characteristic creaminess and milkiness of Edradour are clearly present. It's interesting that, despite its creamy texture, it also carries a slightly spicy edge. I previously wrote about how the standard Edradour 10 Year Old is delicious, but this release is aged for 15 years. It seems that even the distillates from before the 10-year mark had this kind of flavor, suggesting that Edradour has been producing well-balanced, perfume-free expressions for a considerable period. It looks like they will continue to deliver high-quality products consistently, making me even more excited for future releases. #Edradour (EDRADOUR)
