Bottle #トーモア(TORMORE)
A delicious official bottling that combines the essence of TORMORE. TORMORE 16yo Official Bottling Batch No. B1309 48% Bottled in September 2013, American Oak The aroma features ripe apricot and orange, a pleasant grainy note, subtle milk chocolate, mineral seaweed from the depths, a smooth mouthfeel with apricot and plum, juicy orange notes, light viscosity, jam-like sweetness, a pleasant tannic finish, and balanced malty richness. [Good/Very Good] This is the official 16-year-old bottling of TORMORE, a small batch release. It has an unusual official label and I initially thought it was a recent new release, but the bottling date is September 2013, slightly earlier than expected. The aroma has pleasant fruity notes of ripe apricot and orange, along with a good grainy character. It also exhibits the seaweed-like nuances often found in TORMORE. Upon tasting, it offers a juicy fruitiness alongside jam-like sweetness, with tannins and malty richness presenting in balanced harmony. As an official bottling, it surprisingly exhibits complexity for its aging period, with sherry notes that gracefully envelop the overall profile without being overwhelming. Since it's a small batch, I'd love to try different batches in the future.
