Dailuaine 16 Year Old Official Flora & Fauna Series
Bottle #ダルユーイン(DAILUAINE)
A surprising noble sherry note.
Dailuaine 16yo OB Flora & Fauna 43%
The aroma has noble nuances of sherry, plum, berries, orange with chocolate, a rich and moist barley note. When drinking, it has a velvety smooth texture on the tongue, noble sherry with jam-like sweetness, gentle bitterness, a faint planty note and not bad astringency, earthiness and leather, with a long finish. [Very Good]
This is the official bottle of Dailuaine 16 Year Old from the Flora & Fauna series. Although this series has become old bottles, it is a standard bottle from a bit earlier and did not have high expectations. However, when I tasted it, I was surprised.
It has a noble sherry note reminiscent of old Macallan. Perhaps because it is a watered-down bottle, it had an extremely smooth texture and drinkability.
The balance of sweetness and bitterness was good, and you could even feel the earthiness and leather notes. It had a complex aroma and an intoxicating sensation, but I think much of this flavor came out during the aging in the bottle.
Although I have had Dailuaine with this label before, I have never tasted anything as delicious as this.
If all of the Flora & Fauna Dailuaine tasted like this, then it would be a standard bottle that has been widely released, and I think there might also be differences due to the batch.
Nevertheless, seeing that it is sold at a price close to its original release date, I would be tempted to buy it for the possibility of this flavor.
