Bruichladdich 1964 17 Year Old Official 53%

#ブルイックラディ(BRUICHLADDICH)
Indeed amazing. My best Bruichladdich. Bruichladdich BRUICHLADDICH 1964 17yo OB 53% one of 1200 bottles The aroma is rich and exotic, with notes of baked apple, apricot jam, cinnamon, herbal tea, noble oak, and a savory malt. On the palate, it starts with a smooth mouthfeel, expanding into rich and powerful flavors of heated apple, sweet richness, a slight acidity from herbal tea, and woody hints of hinoki. The finish is long, sexy, and intoxicating. [Excellent] This is the official Bruichladdich 17-year-old bottle with a 1964 vintage label. There is also a watered-down version of the same 1964 vintage 17-year-old, but this is a high-proof bottling at 53% ABV. It was bottled for the Italian market, with Moon Import labeling. This bottle has reigned as my best Bruichladdich since I drank it six years ago, and this time it was still exceptional. It had the characteristic heated apple nuances of this era's Bruichladdich, along with warm fruit notes like apricot jam. While the hinoki-like woody character can sometimes be overpowering, here it was present in a balanced way that deepened the flavor. Although the cask is unknown, the aroma suggests it's a vatting that includes refill casks, resulting in a diverse flavor profile. Notes of herbs, spices, and wonderful oak were present, making it very complex, rich, and subtly exotic with an intoxicating finish. Indeed, it still holds the title of best Bruichladdich. Wonderful.
