A very satisfying Linkwood. Linkwood LINKWOOD 1964-1996 32yo SIGNATORY VINTAGE #1860 49.3% one of 192 bottles The aroma initially gives a firm and stubborn impression but gradually expands, featuring plum or apricot jam, concentrated black tea, herbs, good woodiness, hazelnuts, heavy barley notes and oil, complex and robust, rich. Upon drinking, it starts with a smooth mouthfeel and expands powerfully and aromatically, with the sweet and sour notes of apricot jam, a hint of mint, barley umami, and a powerful body. The flavor combines jam, oil, and barley into a long-lasting finish. 【Very Good】 This Linkwood 1964, 32-year-old cask from Signatory's Dumpy Bottle. While the aroma initially feels stubborn and reserved, swirling it over time gradually opens up. It exhibits a strong fruity jam character, black tea, herbs, woodiness, nuts, oil, and a solid barley base, making it complex and quite rich. Upon tasting, it expands powerfully with a dense jam sweetness and good acidity, along with a rich barley umami. The powerful body and integrated flavor profile were quite substantial. Various elements are balanced at a high level, representing my favorite type of malt—full-bodied and very delicious. This bottle was kindly provided by IAN from Mitsukoshi-Mae.
