Longmorn LONGMORN 1964-1983 SAMAROLI 46% one of 180 bottles
Bottle #ロングモーン(LONGMORN)
This is truly a remarkable Longmorn 1964, with an intense and delightful sense of intoxication. Longmorn LONGMORN 1964-1983 SAMAROLI 46% one of 180 bottles The aroma is very strong and opulent, with a good old character, still fresh citrus, grapefruit peel, white wine-like white grapes, a hint of peach, mint tea, dry barley, faint earthiness and old peat. Upon drinking, it starts with a smooth mouthfeel that expands into a natural yet intense fruity flavor, grapefruit peel, peach juice, white grapes, a touch of melon and well water, dry barley sensation, slightly powdery texture with a refined fruity sweetness and acidity. The finish leaves an outstanding lingering fruitiness and old peat. 【Very Good/Excellent】 Samaroli bottled Longmorn 1964 in 1983 with added water, aged for approximately 19 years. This is an extremely rare bottle. I had long wanted to try it, but this time I received a small sample from a senior drinker who reads this blog and was able to taste it. From the start, the aroma reminiscent of similarly vintage Caol Ila and Black Damp water-added bottles. Given the same origin, it's natural they resemble each other. As expected, this is an outstanding bottle with intense fruity and intoxicating characteristics. The natural and diverse fruitiness was more impressive than tropical notes. The balance of the slightly remaining dry barley sensation and refined sweet-acidic juice-like flavor was also impressive, offering a wonderful intoxicating experience. Although the body feels more mellow than at bottling due to added water and bottle aging, the aromatic expansion after drinking certainly feels like a Samaroli 1980s bottling. #Longmorn (LONGMORN)
