#ストラスアイラ(STRATHISLA)
The characteristics of Samaroli and Strathisla were both clearly present. Strathisla STRATHISLA 1967-1986 SAMAROLI 57%, one of 360 bottles, SHERRY WOOD The aroma features apricot and plum jams, prunes and berry jams, a strong woody note reminiscent of hinoki (Japanese cypress), caramel, clove, bouquet garni, concentrated black tea, Shaoxing wine, a faint dashi broth note, old peat from the depths, complex and rich, expands powerfully with a fragrant intensity upon drinking, spicy tingling sensations, a textured viscosity that feels thick and syrupy, the jam-like quality and intense sweetness similar to the aroma, herbs and spices, woody tannins with hinoki notes deepen the flavor, full-bodied, a long-lasting peaty finish. 【Very Good】 This is the cask strength bottling of Strathisla 1967, released by Samaroli in 1986 from a Dassie cask. The aroma immediately presents a diverse range of berry-infused jams, with the characteristic hinoki-like woody notes typical of old Strathisla clearly present. While the noble nuances are not overpowering, a variety of elements reminiscent of sherry cask maturation such as herbs, spices, and caramel emerge sequentially. There is also a nuance of old peat, making it extremely complex. Upon drinking, the three-dimensional full-bodied flavor is indeed characteristic of Samaroli's high proof whisky, with a concentrated texture that feels syrupy and thick, similar to the aroma. The hinoki-like notes were also present. Although it requires some physical stamina to drink, this is a concentrated and outstanding Strathisla, with the distillery's style and Samaroli's high proof aroma beautifully matched. This bottle was received as part of the 16th anniversary event at Campbelltown Loch. This year marked the first Samaroli collective release since the 10th anniversary commemoration, but as usual, it sold out quickly. #Strathisla (STRATHISLA)
