A standout, memorable Springbank. As expected, it's excellent. Springbank SPRNGBANK 1969-1995 25yo WILSON&MORGAN #95164-3 52.0% one of 420 bottles, sherry butt The aroma is elegant and rich, with a solid strawberry jam note, ripe apricot, deep and refined barley character, damp earth, richness, a subtle briny saltiness with a touch of peat. On the palate, it expands with a rich, textured mouthfeel, the sweetness of strawberry jam balanced by good tannins, deep malty umami, followed by minerals and a stronger saline note, with a long, pleasant finish of matured peat. 【Excellent】 This is Springbank 1969, 25 years old from Wilson & Morgan. I previously tasted it in Yurakucho and was amazed by its aroma, which led me to purchase it. Recently, I wanted to drink it again and brought it back to Yurakucho to open. It is likely a refilled sherry butt, with a natural strawberry jam character, but also has a rich fruitiness and deep malty notes. The aroma carries earthy and peaty nuances. On the palate, it is rich and full-bodied, with a sweet strawberry jam character balanced by pleasant tannins, malty umami, and briny notes. Overall, it has a mysterious, seductive nuance, without excessive maturity, and is appropriately mellowed. It was an intoxicating Springbank. Indeed, I once again realized how much I love Springbank, regardless of its age. Recently, my work has been abnormally busy, leaving no time to seriously drink or write articles. For the first time since starting my blog, I ran out of accumulated content, causing delays in updates. Normally, this would be the time for the Islay Festival, and I should have too many bottles to introduce. Despite this state, my main job has finally calmed down, so I should be able to write again soon. I thank those who contacted me with concern. #Springbank (SPRINGBANK)
