The long maturation is fully expressed but what makes it special is that it's not just about that. Bruichladdich BRUICHLADDICH 1969-2000 30yo CADENHEAD Chairman's Stock 46.5% one of 150 bottles, Bourbon Hogshead The aroma has a matured, estery character with notes of pear and light apple pie, cinnamon, a subtle rustic barley sensation in the background, slightly nuts, with a faint intoxicating touch. When drinking, it starts with a gentle mouthfeel that expands, similarly to the aroma, showing matured fruity characteristics. The texture has a chewy quality, with a good balance of fruit sweetness and acidity, leaving a beautiful, non-lingering finish. 【Very Good】 This is a 30-year-old maturation from Cadenhead's Chairman's Stock, bottled in 1969 and 2000 by Bruichladdich. The first impression was a prominent long-matured estery character reminiscent of Bruichladdich Legacy, but what stood out was the rustic barley note added as a plus to the aroma. When drinking, similarly to the aroma, the long-matured fruity character is fully open but without much lightness, with a textured chewiness. The balance of sweetness and acidity is wonderful, and while not overly thick, it has a satisfying drinkability. A beautiful Bruichladdich with a lasting core.
