It has a rich sweetness with briny undertones, supported by a slightly oily and moist peatiness. Rich and long-lasting pleasant finish. 【Very Good】 The Springbank 1969 from Dun Bheagan, aged for 35 years. It is believed to have been matured in a sherry butt. The aroma is vibrant and strong, with subtle notes of strawberry jam, grape juice, and an intoxicating scent reminiscent of Cognac. Upon tasting, it is rich and fragrant, with a clear presence of strawberry jam and grape juice notes. The texture feels concentrated and chewy. A dense sweetness from the jam-like flavors is complemented by briny elements, while peatiness supports the overall profile. Without the high expectations associated with vintage Springbank, this would have easily earned a VG/E rating. It is an attractive sherry-style Springbank that met expectations fully.
