The aroma is slightly thick and unrefined but rich and strong, with notes of apricot jam, strawberry jam, tree sap, wax, anise, black tea, complex and rich.
When drinking, it has a dense texture with some chewiness, strong sweetness of apricot jam and good tartness reminiscent of plums, slight juiciness, rich, moderate woodiness with a long finish.
【Very Good】
An early bottle from the Limburg Whisky Fair, Springbank 1970, aged for 33 years.
While the initial impression is slightly thick compared to the vibrant image of Bank 70 imagined from the specs, it also contains rich fruitiness and tree sap-like woodiness, including the characteristic strawberry jam notes. Upon tasting, it is indeed rich with strong jam sweetness and good acidity, along with a very full-bodied flavor that deepens the taste, and a textured mouthfeel with juiciness and chewiness. Indeed, many early bottles from the Limburg Whisky Fair are intoxicating, with Springbank being the prime example.
