Dallas Dhu DALLAS DHU 1972-2004 32yo Douglas Laing Old Malt Cask #DL748 50%, one of 605 bottles, REFILL BUTT
The aroma is viscous and strong with notes of beeswax wax, strong tree resin, apricot jam, heated apple, boiled-down black tea, rich woodiness, brandy cake. On the palate, it is smooth and aromatic with a strong sweetness of apricot jam and a faint acidity. The texture is slightly viscous, with a strong but good woodiness, rich and slightly oily with a long finish. [Very Good]
This Dallas Dhu 1972, 32-year-old whisky comes from Douglas Laing's OMC. Both the aroma and flavor strongly resemble the 70s Clydesdale with nuances of beeswax wax, tree resin, and apricot jam. It is also fruity with a good woodiness, making it rich and complex.
The texture has viscosity, and the whisky is rich with sufficient drinkability. In this specification range, Dallas Dhu rarely disappoints, but this one was particularly rich and full of flavor.
