It had a solid aging character and was delicious. MacDuff MACDUFF 1973-2011 38yo THE WHISKY AGENCY with THREE RIVERS 47.6% one of 190 bottles, Ex-Bourbon Cask The aroma had a mature character with an intoxicating sense of fruitiness, including apricot jam, some pineapple, chocolate-covered dried fruits, apple, faint cinnamon tea, and cream. When drinking, it had a smooth mouthfeel with the same mature character as the aroma, featuring a variety of fruits with a jam-like quality. Oily creaminess wrapped around the mouth, with a rich sweetness and oak, leaving a long finish. 【Very Good】 This is a MacDuff 1973, aged for 38 years, from The Whisky Agency's artwork series in collaboration with Japan's Three Rivers. The aroma had an estery, intoxicating character typical of The Whisky Agency's long-aged whiskies. A variety of fruits were sensed, including jam-like notes, dried fruits, with hints of tea and creaminess. When drinking, it had a strong mature character, with the smooth mouthfeel bursting into a variety of fruits. A creaminess similar to the aroma was also felt, with a texture that wrapped around the mouth. The cask had a noticeable effect but without strong rawness or seasoning. Although it felt slightly lighter than the alcohol content, the fruity long finish was pleasant. Long-aged MacDuff has bottles like Duncan Taylor with explosive fruit notes, and this had a similar nuance. There was a period when I sought out this type, but also a time when I drank too much and got slightly tired of it. However, drinking it again shows that these kinds are still great. #MacDuff (MACDUFF)
