Bottle #スプリングバンク(SPRINGBANK)
A vibrant and strongly aromatic malt perfume. Springbank SPRINGBANK 1974-2003 28 Year Old Own Bottling #2283 46% One of 330 bottles The aroma is vibrant and strong, with a sense of intoxication, featuring nuances of freeze-dried strawberries, sweetened gum, green apple, grassy notes reminiscent of well water, vanilla, and dry barley. Upon drinking, it offers a similarly vibrant fruitiness and good grassy notes, with a touch of cheese, a savory barley essence that lingers on the tongue, a refined yet rich sweetness with subtle tannins, and a long, pleasant finish. 【Very Good】 This is an official single cask bottling of Springbank 1974, aged for 28 years. From the outset, I was immediately struck by the intoxicatingly vibrant and strong aroma. The influence of the cask is not overpowering, yet it carries the characteristic nuances of freeze-dried strawberries often found in Springbank's maturation process, alongside a slightly distinctive sweet gum-like aroma. The scent of barley remains, with a stronger grassy undertone. Tasting it delivers the expected vibrancy from its aroma, with similarly pronounced fruity and grassy characteristics. The texture lingers on the tongue after undergoing bottle aging changes, offering a refined yet rich and deep flavor profile, ending with a long, lingering sense of intoxication. While I enjoy the current Springbank bottlings, bottles from this era or earlier feel distinctly different. Although Springbank is known for minimal changes in production compared to the past, I remain excited to see how younger distillates will develop through long aging and bottle aging changes. #Springbank (SPRINGBANK)
