As expected, a very fruity and estery maturation character, common in Duncan Taylor-style whiskies, was clearly felt both in the aroma and flavor. While it has these fruity and elegant nuances, when drinking, there was a slightly rustic nuance from mid-palate to finish, which made me think it had a touch of 1970s Scotia. The body is indeed lighter, and the aftertaste isn't long, but it fades cleanly, which is still quite good.
