Bottle #アードベッグ(ARDBEG)
Still fresh and powerful. Ardbeg ARDBEG 1975-1987 SAMAROLI 57%, one of 648 bottles The aroma has a plain cask feel with strong barley notes, sharp metallic tones, fish stock broth, fresh citrus, and intense smoke. When drinking, it spreads gradually with spicy notes, fresh citrus, strong barley umami with a bite, earthy and smoky, with little sweetness and a dry finish. [Very Good] This is the Ardbeg 1975 bottled by Dassie for Samaroli in 1987, a high-proof whisky aged approximately 12 years. Despite being over 30 years since bottling, it feels almost entirely free of old-age characteristics, likely due to minimal cask influence and bottle aging effects. Based on a fresh citrus foundation with youthful, strong barley notes, it's not a complex aroma but retains the metallic and earthy qualities typical of 1970s Ardbeg. The sweetness is minimal, with a very dry and spicy flavor profile. While drinking, I imagined it retained much of its original bottling impression. It was a rare bottle that allowed me to closely reconnect with the flavor profile of a vintage new release. #Ardbeg (ARDBEG)
