【Good/Very Good】
Samaroli's Port Ellen 1975, a 23-year-old watered-down bottling. The aroma has fresh citrus and floral notes, with a saltiness often found in Port Ellen from this era, and an impressionable sharp peat. When drinking, it has a concentrated citrus with a powdery texture, refined sweetness, and the peat is not mellowed despite being watered down. The body is still maintained. Depending on the cask, Port Ellen tends to lose some body with aging compared to other Islay whiskies. However, this specification is often nice. Since it's a closed distillery, there might be hesitation to open it, but this specification is at its drinking prime.
