Glen Scotia 1975 30 Year The Whisky Fair

Glen Scotia GLENSCOTIA 1975-2006 30yo The Whisky Fair 47.5%, one of 96 bottles, Rum Barrel
Bottle #グレンスコシア(GLENSCOTIA)
A rich and matured Scottish whisky that was delicious. Glen Scotia GLENSCOTIA 1975-2006 30yo The Whisky Fair 47.5% one of 96 bottles, Rum Barrel The aroma is estery, fruity with a matured feel, reminiscent of Cognac grapes, apricot jam, light barley notes, rich. Upon drinking, it has a soft mouthfeel, red grape and apricot jam sweetness, with body and nuts. It also has a slight vegetal bitterness but remains rich with a long finish. [Good/Very Good] Glen Scotia 1975, bottled in 2006 by The Whisky Fair, aged for 30 years. It has a relatively rare specification as it was finished in a Rum barrel. It seems not to be a rum finish, but rather a rum cask. The estery and matured fruity notes that The Whisky Fair would select are prominent, with a grape-like sensation throughout and an overall rich feel. When drinking it, it is soft with a rich, grape-like, slightly intense fruity flavor and sweetness. Although it does not have a thick body, it offers a rich and long finish. In previous rum cask whiskies I have tasted, there were also some with this grape-like quality, which may be due to the components from the rum cask. As for its specifications, it is somewhat rare but well-crafted bottle.
