Fettercairn 1975 33 Year Old Scotch Malt Sales 'The TASTER'

#フェッターケアン(FETTERCAIRN)
Even upon re-tasting, it remained distinctive and charming. Fettercairn FETTERCAIRN 1975 33yo Scotch Malt Sales 'The TASTER' #2314 58.5%, one of 120 bottles. The aroma features a characteristic buttery oily quality, caramelized nuts, reduced oranges, vanilla, and a strong concentrated richness that gives the impression of viscosity. The palate is rich and viscous, with butter and caramelized nuts, sweetness from reduced oranges and apricot jam, subtle tropical elements, and a well-balanced oakiness with tannins that deepen the flavor. The finish is rich, oily, and very long. 【Very Good】 This Fettercairn 1975, aged for 33 years, was released by Scotch Malt Sales as part of their 'The TASTER' series. It was selected from casks at the Whisky Agency, with Carsten noted as the selector. I've enjoyed this bottle many times at home and elsewhere, but it was a while since my last encounter. As previously mentioned in an article, this bottle clearly exhibits the shared nuances of a period when Fettercairn 1975 was bottled consecutively. It possesses an exceptionally oily uniqueness, yet subtly reveals a fruity character typical of the agency, adding a refined touch that sets it apart. Truly, I regret not having stockpiled this bottle each time I drank it. (Laugh) But that's why it's a joy to occasionally encounter such gems. This bottle was kindly provided by Bar Nadurra in Ichigaya. Though it opened last year, it's a wonderful bar with a knowledgeable and passionate master of malts. Many patrons enjoy non-malt spirits, yet the atmosphere remains approachable and comfortable without feeling elitist. There were even malts I hadn't tried before, giving me the chance to revisit some from years ago and enjoy a great time. I look forward to visiting again. #Fettercairn (FETTERCAIRN)
