Benriach BENRIACH 1975 WHISK-E The Modern Mastars 56.5% one of 240 bottles
Bottle #ベンリアック(BENRIACH)
It had a strikingly fruity character when I drank it after some time. Benriach BENRIACH 1975 WHISK-E The Modern Mastars 56.5% one of 240 bottles The aroma is elegant and fruity, with notes of loquat, peach nectar, cream, light vanilla and coconut, with a subtle barley-like rusticness in the background. On the palate, it starts smooth and expands into an opulent fruity explosion of white peach and white grape, accompanied by cream, a pleasant sweetness, refined acidity, and a lingering, intoxicating finish. [Very Good] This Benriach 1975 was released by Whisk-E's Modern Masters series. It is believed to have been released around 2008, suggesting an aging period of approximately 33 years. The aroma is exceptionally vibrant and full of diverse fruity notes, with a strong characteristic peach-like quality. There are vanilla and creamy nuances suggesting bourbon cask aging, as well as a coconut undertone. Upon tasting, the fruity complexity is even more pronounced than the aroma, with a creamy texture. Although the alcohol content is high, the body thickness isn't overwhelming, and the finish offers a long, intoxicating fruity sensation. While Benriach's pronounced fruitiness often carries a slightly chemical-like medicinal edge, this bottle's fruitiness felt natural, which was a very positive impression. I had drunk it at the time of release but didn't have such a strong favorable impression. Perhaps after subsequent releases solidified my perception of Benriach, revisiting this bottle allowed me to truly appreciate its qualities.
