【Good/Very Good】
This is an official bottling from the Isle of Jura Distillery, bottled around 2000 for Mr. Forrest.
Mr. Forrest seems to be from Jura.
The aroma has a surprisingly strong barley presence, along with nuances of vanilla and custard, as well as fruitiness notes like lychee and peach, and an oiliness often found in Irish whiskey.
When you drink it, you can feel the tropical notes and oiliness typical of Irish whiskey, with viscosity and a long finish.
Older Jura bottlings often have tropical characteristics, represented by the official 8-year-old. However, this one had a tropical feel closer to Irish whiskey, which was impressive.
