Port Ellen PORT ELLEN 1976-2001 25yo DOUGLAS MCGIBBON PROVENANCE 50.1%
Bottle #ポートエレン(PORT ELLEN)
As a Port Ellen, it's somewhat of a rich type and was delicious. Port Ellen PORT ELLEN 1976-2001 25yo DOUGLAS MCGIBBON PROVENANCE 50.1% The aroma has lemon, apricot jam, light cream, a bit of grassiness, vanilla, faint saltiness, strong peat and smoke. When drinking, it has a soft mouthfeel, the rich sweetness of apricot jam, and soft tannins that deepen the flavor. It has a strong smoky peat character, dashi-like umami, richness, and a long finish. 【Good/Very Good】 This Port Ellen 1976, 25-year-old is from the Provenance series bottled by Douglas Rains under the name of Douglas MacGibbon. While it has the grassy and fresh lemon-like nuances typical of 1970s Port Ellen, it also has a jammy and slightly creamy nuance. It also has good tannins and dashi-like umami, giving it a rich feel. I usually prefer the clean, crisp, cool type of Port Ellen, but this slightly heavier and thicker type isn't bad either. #Port Ellen (PORT ELLEN)
