Longmorn Longmorn 1976-2011 35 Year Old The Whisky Agency The Perfect Dram 53.6% - One of 187 bottles, ex-bourbon hogshead
Bottle #ロングモーン(LONGMORN)
The woodiness is strong, but the essence of 76 Longmorn was clearly present. Longmorn Longmorn 1976-2011 35 Year Old The Whisky Agency The Perfect Dram 53.6% one of 187 bottles, EX-BOURBON HOGSHEAD ・Aroma: Apricot jam, Grand Marnier, overly steeped strong black tea, buttercream, nutty cookies, vanilla, strong oak and hinoki bath notes, a touch of oriental incense, tropical fruits like faint peach or pineapple emerge from the depths, rich. ・Flavor: Smooth mouthfeel expands into a fragrant complexity, gradually becoming spicier. The tropical notes of pineapple are more pronounced than in the aroma, with Grand Marnier, strong oak and resinous pine notes, oily texture, slightly creamy and viscous, jam-like thick sweetness, moderate tannins, a touch of bitterness, rich and complex. ・Aftertaste: The tropical fruits and woodiness linger long. ・Watering down: Becomes creamier, with minimal dilution without breaking down. ・Overall Review: The oaky nuances reminiscent of new casks are strong, with no overt over-oxidation, but the tropical fruits add complexity and richness to Longmorn. It's very delicious but slightly tiring to drink. 【Very Good】 A Longmorn 1976, 35-year-old from The Whisky Agency's Perfect Dram. Purchased overseas, but may not be available in Japan. While the fruity characteristics of 70s Longmorn are strongly felt when drinking, both aroma and flavor have oaky notes with resinous pine-like qualities. The bitterness isn't overly strong, but I found it slightly smooth to drink repeatedly. In that regard, it's a diverse and complex malt with cask-derived components, making it quite rich. The satisfaction of drinking a long-aged Speyside malt was fully met. #Longmorn (LONGMORN)
