[Very Good] The SMWS Glenlossie 1977, filled in 1990, is relatively short-matured. From the start of the aroma, there is a strong sherry note, with rich sherry nuances such as caramel, black sugar, dried fruits, and bitter chocolate. When drinking, due to its viscosity, it has a smooth mouthfeel despite the alcohol content, then expands into strong aromatic notes. It has rich sweetness and good astringency, making it a full-bodied bottle. For short-matured sherry bottles, the image is often of those from the early 1970s. After that, short-matured bottles without a green taste and with good bitterness become less common, but this one from the late 1970s is well-finished. Despite being over 25 years since bottling, there are no signs of deterioration; it is likely that the initial stimulation has mellowed, viscosity increased, and sherry character became more intoxicating. It feels like drinking the bottle that was filled at the time of bottling.
