GlenGlasgagh GLENGLASSAUGH 1977-1993 15yo CADENHEAD 59.0%
Bottle #グレングラッサ(GLENGLASSAUGH)
It was a Green Cadenhead-style GlenGlasgagh. GlenGlasgagh GLENGLASSAUGH 1977-1993 15yo CADENHEAD 59.0% The aroma is rustic with a strong barley note, a straw-like quality and a faint vegetal character, ginger and cinnamon, plain cask notes. When drinking, it gradually becomes spicy, with a chewy texture, strong barley umami and a rich sweetness, faint cinnamon and herbs, plain and natural, with a long finish. [Good/Very Good] Cadenhead bottled this GlenGlasgagh 1977 in 1993, aged for 15 years. This is typical of the short-aged plain cask Green Cadenhead style common at the time, with minimal cask influence and a rustic, strong barley character as the core. While not entirely representative of GlenGlasgagh, it has a slightly herbal vegetal note, and the condensed richness that likely emerged over time pairs well with the barley umami, making it a delicious malt. Though not overly complex, it's a bottle where the core barley spirit has matured nicely. Personally, I quite like this type. #GlenGlasgagh (GLENGLASSAUGH)
