[Very Good]
The official limited edition Talisker 1977, aged for 35 years. The aroma has the diverse complexity typical of official bottlings, with rich fruits and black tea, brininess, and pronounced barley and peat notes throughout. Upon tasting, despite its high ABV, it has a soft mouthfeel that expands into an aromatic richness. As expected, the sweetness of thick jam and honey is balanced with a pleasant tannic astringency, while the peat is slightly mellowed, giving an overall rounded impression.
Overall, it was a richly crafted malt typical of official long-aged releases.
