The aroma strongly features fresh citrus with a refreshing quality, along with barley notes and nuts without harshness, and a strong yet not heavy sharp peat. When tasted, the citrus notes have a concentrated nuance, with a strong assertion of peat typical of Islay. While the powerful presence expected from an Islay cask strength whisky isn't extremely strong, the balanced flavor of sweetness, acidity, and saltiness left a favorable impression.
