The strong sherry character was quite good. Upon drinking, it spreads from a smooth mouthfeel to a rich aroma of jam and caramel sweetness, with a moderate woody character and its bitterness. The finish is rich and long. 【Good/Very Good】 The 1979, 2003 vintage 23-year-old cask strength edition from Glenfarclas. Part of the so-called 'Great Person Label' series for Scottish natives, this one features the label of Graham Bell. From the start of the aroma, there is a strong sherry note. Notes of plum, dried fruits, black sugar and caramel, as well as balsamic vinegar, dominate the sherry character. When drinking, the strong sherry note is present, with a rich sweetness of jam and caramel, and tannic bitterness. I felt the body was substantial. The sherry cask elements dominate overall, and other elements are sparse, lacking diversity, which is a drawback. However, as the sherry character isn't bad, I found it straightforwardly delicious as a sweet malt.
