A very rich and delicious Glenmorangie. Glenmorangie GLENMORANGIE 1980 21yo OB 55.6% one of 744 bottles, JUAT THREE INDIVIDUAL CASKS The aroma features ripe blood orange, vanilla, oil, butter Scotch, a thick malty note with charred nuances, strong woodiness. Upon drinking, it spreads smoothly with viscosity, orange marmalade, apricot jam, vanilla, good woodiness and its oil, strongly creamy and rich, a sticky dense sweetness, tightening oak, also a malty note from the depth, heavy and long finish. 【Very Good】 This is an official Glenmorangie 1980, aged for 21 years. It was bottled at cask strength using specially selected three casks. The aroma and flavor strongly convey rich bourbon cask nuances, but there's almost no refreshing, floral green apple candy-like nuance typical of recent releases. Instead, the impression was left by ripe orange and oily creamy notes. Additionally, the malty character is clearly present, which was also a pleasant surprise. After opening the bottle and letting it rest for a while, the texture became more concentrated and viscous, with a rich sweetness balanced by tightening oak. The Glenmorangie has a thick, complex body, and I truly felt that the stable distillery has consistently produced excellent whisky regardless of the era.
