Lochside 1981-2011 BBR #808

Lochside LOCHSIDE 1981-2011 BBR #808 46%
Bottle #ロッホサイド(LOCHSIDE)
The 1981 Lochside had a good balance and the dilution was just right. Lochside LOCHSIDE 1981-2011 BBR #808 46% The aroma features plum jam, ripe orange, light caramel, a hint of meaty, rich notes. Upon drinking, it has a smooth mouthfeel with ripe orange and tropical pineapple-like fruits with chemical notes similar to children's syrup medicine, juicy and rich sweetness, oily and long finish. [Good/Very Good] BBR bottled this Lochside 1981 in 2011, approximately 30 years of aging. At that time, there were many releases of Lochside 81, but this one was rather a minority diluted type. The juicy tropical pineapple-like sensation with chemical notes typical of this vintage Lochside was clearly felt, along with oily nuances. Although there is no mention, it might be a sherry cask refill, with slightly meaty nuances. Although it could have been heavy, the dilution helped to mellow everything out and maintain a pleasant drinking experience. #Lochside (LOCHSIDE)
