A spicy, tingling palate with citrus and apple, bourbon cask-like vanilla and honey sweetness, deep richness balanced by oak, strong saltiness, briny seaweed notes, and umami from fish stock broth. Rich, peaty, and long-lasting powerful finish. 【Very Good】 This is a 30-year-old Calila bottled by Cadenhead in 2014 for the 15th anniversary of Bar Barns (Nagoya) and Kinko (Kagoshima). While lacking overt maturation typical of Calila, it naturally exhibits strong concentration in both aroma and flavor. Citrus, vanilla, fish stock broth umami, and maltiness were clearly perceptible. The mineral elements reminiscent of shells, brininess, strong peat, and saltiness also stood out, offering a satisfying drinking experience. I strongly felt the essence of a delicious Islay malt. This is indeed a worthy Calila selected by Kinko and Nagoya's renowned establishment for their commemorative bottle. Congratulations on Bar Barns' 15th anniversary.
