Bottle #ロングロウ(LONGROW)
Indeed, this vintage of Longrow is distinctive. LONGROW LONGROW 1987-1997 10yo SIGNATORY VINTAGE #149-151 43% one of 990 bottles The aroma is strong, with fresh lemon, cheese, tanned leather, a wild animal-like quality, meaty broth notes, damp malt, plant-like characteristics, and a robust tarry/smoky peat. Upon drinking, it gradually delivers stimulation, with lemon and syrup sweetness in refined tones, similar peat and broth-like notes to the aroma, and a slightly chewy, concentrated texture with barley umami. 【Good/Very Good】 Signatory watered-down Longrow 1987, 10-year-old maturation. This is a vintage that Samaroli has released in large quantities. The aroma features fresh citrus like lemon, cheese, and a clear sense of tarry peat, along with the characteristic wild animal-like nuances of Longrow. Upon tasting, similar fruit and peat notes to the aroma, along with broth-like qualities and barley umami, create a concentrated impression with a chewy texture. There are rumors that Samaroli filled many bottles and released those they didn't like, and this bottle seems to be one of them, with very similar nuances. As I mentioned before, Longrow from this period in plain casks tends to have similar finishes regardless of maturation time.
