On the palate, it has a soft mouthfeel with sweet honey-like flavors of orange and vanilla, some subtle woody characteristics, and a light oak tannin that adds depth. The finish is rich and satisfying. 【Good/Very Good】 This Scapa 1988 was bottled in 1999, with approximately 11 years of maturation. The aroma has a refined bourbon cask influence, with hints of orange, apple, and black tea. Due to its 40% ABV, the mouthfeel is soft and smooth, yet the honey-like sweetness and tannins provide a satisfying depth of flavor. There was a slight hint of bourbon barrel characteristics, but it wasn't intrusive. Overall, the aroma remained clean and well-balanced. It was the first drink of the day but proved to be an excellent starter.
