It has the strong and sharp peat and seafood nuances typical of short-matured Clydes, as well as an unexpectedly concentrated jam-like quality and a condensed powdery texture. It is likely that the whisky was quite robust and sharp when bottled, but due to time passing since bottling, the barley notes have mellowed and various components are now easier to perceive. This short-matured Clyde seems to be at its drinking peak, and it was unexpectedly delicious.
