#ハイランドパーク(HIGHLANDPARK)
A Society bottle for American liquor stores, a nice choice. Highland Park HIGHLAND PARK 1989 24yo THE SCOTCH MALT WHISKY SOCIETY for PARK AVENUE LIQUOR SHOP "4.180" 51.3% one of 213 bottles, Refill Bourbon Hogshead The aroma is rich with honey, reminiscent of Western confections like orange and vanilla cream, savory barley notes, strong oak, and a hint of peat from the depths. When drinking, it has a rich, chewy texture with pineapple, orange oil, cream, and a sweet honey flavor with a robust oak finish that balances it. Slightly smoky and richly lingering. [Good/Very Good] The 4th release from SMWS is Highland Park's 1989, a new release aged for 24 years. Unusually, this Society bottle is bottled for Park Avenue Liquor Shop, an American liquor store, rather than being distributed to members. While it lacks complexity for its age, the texture is well-developed with a nicely balanced bourbon cask influence. It offers a rich sweetness of honey and orange, pleasant oak notes, and a subtle peatiness from the depths. The aging character seems to be expressed more in the texture after drinking, expanding from a mild mouthfeel. It has a concentrated feel with a chewy texture, making for a satisfying malt. #Highland Park (HIGHLANDPARK)
