GlenScotia GLENSCOSIA 1991-2012 WEMYSS MALTS 46%, one of 833 bottles, BUTT
Bottle #グレンスコシア(GLENSCOTIA)
As a recent sherried cask, it was rich and quite good without any bitterness. GlenScotia GLENSCOSIA 1991-2012 WEMYSS MALTS 46% one of 833 bottles, BUTT The aroma was a pleasant sherried note with dried fruits, berry jam, ripe oranges, leather, caramel and black sugar. It was rich in flavor with a viscous mouthfeel, a strong jammy sweetness, light tannins and a subtle bitterness that deepened the flavor. [Good/Very Good] This GlenScotia 1991 was bottled by Wemyss Malts in 2012. The one-sentence aroma comment is 'Strawberry Ganache'. Although a recent sherried cask bottling, it had a solid sherried character with a concentrated jam-like sweetness and the feeling of ripe fruits. When drinking, it had a viscous mouthfeel with rich sweetness, light tannins and a slight bitterness that deepened the flavor. In particular regarding the bitterness, while it might have been perceived as an off-flavor when drunk at cask strength, the addition of water seemed to add a positive element. It does not have an outstanding brilliance but among recent releases, I think it is a high value sherried cask malt. #GlenScotia (GLENSCOTIA)
