Bottle #カーデュ(CARDHU)
This kind of release from Cardhu is quite rare. Moreover, it was very delicious. Cardhu CARDHU 1991-2013 21yo OB LIMITED EDITION 54.2% one of 6000 bottles A lively and strong aroma with notes of ripe orange, vanilla, custard cream, good barley character, moderate woodiness. Upon drinking, it starts with a soft mouthfeel that expands into a rich and fruity nose, with the sweetness and acidity of mature citrus fruits. The refined umami of barley is present, and the lingering orange oil finish is long-lasting. [Very Good] Recently released and circulating locally, this is the official 21-year-old limited edition from Cardhu, distilled in 1991. Since Cardhu is rarely seen outside standard bottles, such an official limited edition would be quite rare. It has a strong and lively aroma with balanced expressions of mature citrus, custard, vanilla, barley, and woodiness. Despite its high alcohol content, the mouthfeel is surprisingly soft, expanding into a rich and aromatic profile. The nose carries a similarly lively fruity character, with the sweetness and acidity of citrus fruits being clearly felt in an elegant manner. At the same time, the umami of barley is noticeable, with a long-lasting finish reminiscent of orange oil. The balance between the charm of citrus fruits and barley character is excellent, with the cask influence being just right. This is a well-crafted Speyside malt bottled at an ideal time. This outstanding new release is limited to 6000 bottles, but will it be available in Japan?
