This is a distillery that doesn't often get the chance to be tasted, but this one was rather light and fresh. Blair Athol BLAIR ATHOL 1995-2014 WEMYSS MALTS 46%, one of 330 bottles, BARREL The aroma is fresh, with green apple, lemon, white flowers, ginger, a youthful grain note, vanilla. On the palate it has a smooth mouthfeel with light syrup sweetness, ginger, fresh grain notes, gentle vanilla and oak, light body, clean finish without any roughness. 【Good/Very Good】 New release from Wemyss, Blair Athol 1991, approximately 23 years of aging. When thinking about a barrel-aged whisky for 23 years, one might imagine a strong and woody flavor, but upon tasting it turned out to be quite fresh with minimal influence from the barrel, giving a rather plain cask impression.
