Smooth and satisfying with rich sherry. Glen Scotia GLENSCOTIA 1991-2015 WEMYSS MALTS 46%, one of 737 bottles, Butt The aroma is strong sherry, black sugar and prunes, dried fruits, coffee, spices and herbs, with a solid woody character. When drinking, it has a smooth mouthfeel, strong sherry notes, dried fruits, black sugar, strong jam-like sweetness, solid herbal bitterness, a bit of vegetal sharpness, and a long finish. [Good/Very Good] This Glen Scotia 1991 from Wemyss Malts was released relatively recently, with about 24 years of aging. It wraps around a quite rich sherry character that seems to be from a first-fill cask. Not only concentrated fruits but also spices, herbs, and woody notes are drawn out, making it quite good as a sherry cask in recent years. When tasted, along with the good sherry characteristics similar to the aroma, it also has a strong sweetness and slightly stronger bitterness, as well as an unrefined sharpness. However, overall it is a nice cask that allows you to enjoy the rare sherry character. #Glen Scotia (GLENSCOTIA)
