Glenmorangie GLENMORAY 1991-2016 25yo CADENHEAD SMALL BATCH for THE WHISKY HOOP 55.8% one of 240 bottles, Bourbon Hogshead The aroma is lavish, with notes of green apple, pear, orange, sweet custard cream, vanilla, nuts, and a gradual maltiness. On the palate, it has a firm texture with custard cream, vanilla, honey-like sweetness, and a balanced oak tannin. While it lacks the thickness of its alcohol content, it finishes cleanly. 【Good/Very Good】 This Glenmorangie 1991, aged for 25 years, was bottled by Cadenhead Small Batch for The Whisky Hoop. It was released in November of this year. It presents a fragrant, well-aged Speyside malt with a diverse range of fruity elements as described above. The used bourbon hogshead contributed rich and varied aromas without any woody characteristics. It is a well-crafted Glenmorangie with a creamy, honey-like sweetness balanced by oak tannins. Though it lacks thickness, I felt this might be the peak of its maturation.
