Rosebank ROSEBANK 1991-2017 25yo CADENHEAD'S 175 ANNIVERSARY 50.5%
one of 192 bottles, Bourbon Barrel
The aroma is full of vanilla cream, apple, pleasant oak, and a solid malt. On the palate, it has a smooth texture with viscosity, expanding gradually with a concentrated sweetness of honey and a long finish. [Good/Very Good]
This is one of the commemorative bottles released to celebrate Cadenhead's 175th anniversary, featuring Rosebank from 1991 aged for 25 years. Influenced by a good bourbon cask, this Rosebank showcases fruity apple notes, vanilla cream, rich oak, and a well-balanced malt character without any harshness. It has a concentrated feel, which is quite refined for a new release, with a rich and delicious flavor. Honestly, if asked whether I could identify it as Rosebank blind, I would say no, but the quality of the cask influence was pleasant enough to enjoy. While I appreciate Cadenhead as a bottler, the 175th anniversary bottles haven't been easy to get hold of so far, and I've only managed to try this one. If given the chance, I'd like to try others as well.
Congratulations on Cadenhead's 175th anniversary. The next commemorative bottle might be for their 200th anniversary? It seems like many good casks, including older ones, have already been released. However, as a bottler that also handles Springbank, I look forward to their future releases.
