[Good/Very Good]
This is a post-disaster recovery bottle labeled 'Chibaraku Tamashii,' bottled by BBR for BAR OLD in Chiba and Public Bar Islands in Ibaraki. Following the previous Bowmore release, this second edition is Littlemill 1992, aged 21 years.
This Littlemill from around 1990 strongly features tropical fruits like pineapple. While I find the papery characteristic somewhat off-putting, when drinking it, the umami-rich barley notes made it less noticeable.
The strong coconut flavor I detected in the aroma was also impressive. Additionally, it had tropical, slightly oily nuances reminiscent of Irish whiskey.
There is a slight chemical nuance, but overall, this Littlemill showcases prominent tropical flavors.
Littlemill is one of my less favorite distilleries due to its papery characteristics, but this bottle was surprisingly enjoyable.
For those who aren't bothered by the papery trait, I believe this bottle is even more delicious than my personal impression suggests.
