Bottle #ハイランドパーク(HIGHLANDPARK)
It was good even now, but it was a bottle that I looked forward to after bottle aging. Highland Park HIGHLAND PARK 1992-2014 22yo CADENHEAD SMALL BATCH for Tokyo International Bar Show 2014 59.7% One of 426 bottles, Sherry Butt The aroma is good sherry, ripe plums and oranges, bitter chocolate, nuts, meaty, lightly charred barley, rich, when drinking it has a ripe orange, jam-like sweetness, strong meaty with thickness, strong sherry, slightly sulfurous, peat present, light leather or earthiness, rich, slightly viscous texture, good astringency and not bad balance, long finish. [Good/Very Good] This Highland Park 1992, 22-year-old was bottled from Cadenhead Small Batch for this year's bar show. From the aroma to the flavor, the above-mentioned ripe fruits and jam-like fruitiness, chocolate, nuts, charred barley, and although slightly sulfurous, the rich sherry character is strongly felt with a solid meaty quality. The peaty Highland Park character is also sensed from the depths, with some viscosity and a long finish. It remained rich until the end. It is delicious even now, but the sulfurous notes accompanying the Edrington Group's European Oak-like sherry character seem to gradually fade, giving me the impression that if aged in a bottle for about 10 years more, it would become even smoother with a more cohesive texture and flavor, making it incredibly delicious. This might be a bottle worth buying now.
