[Good/Very Good] This is the newly released Aberlour 1994, aged for 19 years from Scotch Malt Sales' Distillery Collection. The aroma is elegant, and the nuances of green apple, refreshing citrus, vanilla, and oak are clearly present, similar to recent high-quality bourbon casks. Upon tasting, there is a sharp spicy kick, but it also has the refreshing fruity notes and umami of barley. It is likely that the alcohol sensation and stimulation will fade with time, leading to a more cohesive flavor. Usually, this type of cask character often brings out a woody bitterness, but in this bottle, it was not an issue. Scotch Malt Sales has always provided stable and orthodox quality, without being swayed by trends or showiness. In terms of price, most of their products seem reasonable. This bottle also left a strong impression as one of those bottles. It's a good new release.
