Although only labeled as Hogshead, the aroma clearly indicates a sherry cask. The fragrance exhibits a heavy sherry character with fruity jam notes, chocolate, clove and other classic sherry cask components, while also presenting a rustic barley umami. There's a slightly old-fashioned atmosphere overall, with minimal peat influence, differing from the recent Reddy-style Tobermory releases.
