New Release: Benriach 1994 19 Year Old J's BAR 20th Anniversary

Benriach BENRIACH 1994-2013 19yo J's BAR 20th Anniversary 53.2%
Bottle #ベンリアック(BENRIACH)
A Benriach with a proper fruity and estery matured aroma. Benriach BENRIACH 1994-2013 19yo J's BAR 20th Anniversary 53.2% The aroma is lively, estery, and features a diverse range of fruits including pear, peach, orange, vanilla, oak, light cream, and barley notes from the depth. The mouthfeel is soft, expanding into a similarly diverse array of fruits with natural sweetness, oak tannins, and barley umami, leaving a slightly creamy, rich finish. [Good/Very Good] The Benriach 1994, aged for 19 years, was bottled by J's BAR in celebration of their 20th anniversary. The aroma features a diverse range of fruits, including peach, characteristic of Benriach, and an unexpectedly matured estery quality. Upon tasting, it remains fruity with a natural sweetness of fruits. While the maturity feels greater than the actual aging years, the barley umami remains at a level commensurate with its aging period, which was a positive aspect. The fruitiness is not as intense as the 1976 release, but its natural fruity character was a pleasant surprise. The cask selection is clearly exceptional. The master of J's BAR, a pioneer in the malt blogging community, has been a reference point for me since my early days of whisky drinking. Congratulations on your 20th anniversary! #Benriach (BENRIACH)
