[Good/Very Good]
This is an official Benriach 1995, 18-year-old release for SAKE SHOP SATO. Although it was distilled in the 1990s and not long-aged, the aroma clearly conveys a peach flavor that Benriach fans would appreciate. While the barley note is strong, it does not feel young.
When tasted, in addition to peach, there are nuances of tropical fruits, and the umami of barley is also noticeable. The overall impression is softer than expected from its aging period, which may be due to the barrel maturation said to be quick.
This is a well-crafted Benriach, and personally, I found it pleasant that there were no chemical nuances accompanying the fruitiness.
