Upon drinking, it starts with a smooth mouthfeel that expands into spice, with notes of vanilla, jasmine tea, strong nuts, some root vegetables, a light honey sweetness, and a rich barley umami. It leaves behind a slightly peaty, rich finish. 【Good/Very Good】 This is an exclusive Highland Park 1995 bottled by GM for JIS (Japan Import System). The aroma has rich, heated fruits and honey with a creamy nuance. The barley and oak notes are well-balanced, giving an overall balanced finish. When drinking, it has a surprisingly smooth mouthfeel for a high proof new release, but then transitions into a spicy sensation. Compared to the aroma, the appeal seems more centered around the good barley notes and umami, as well as a sweet richness.
